I’m an artist / illustrator from Detroit and I’ve spent the last 15 years as a freelance art director, designer and creative strategist after having spent time in the New York advertising jungle.

While working for some of the biggest brands on the planet, which include:  Mötley Crüe, KISS, McDonald’s, Coca Cola, Nascar, The New York Knicks, Carhartt and the NBA to name a few, I constantly strive to view the design challenge from different angles. During the process, I constantly ask the question, what will move the audience visually and inspire them? What will feel tactile and authentic? What will make the creative more enticing and elevate the work beyond simple advertising or basic communication?

While design with a touch of visual irreverence may be a trademark, the business side of the industry is taken seriously and strategy-based thinking is applied to every project regardless of delivery device or audience.

As well as being a full-time designer and art director, I’m a published comic book artist. I’ve penciled stories that have appeared in Batman Annual #8 and New Super-Man for DC Comics.

In my off hours, I own a record store, draw, watch films, avidly listen to music and collect comic book art.
